The American University in Cairo (AUC)
Considered Egypt’s top university, AUS is an English university in Cairo that offers different academic programs, including bachelor degrees in accounting, arts, business administration, musical arts, science, and dual degree programs. Each school offers many majors and minors for students to select from. AUC’s website is www.aucegypt.edu.
Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTM)
This regional university is operated by the Arab League, and offers programs in marine transportation, business, and engineering. The university has graduate and postgraduate programs. The university has many locations, including the marine science headquarters in Alexandria, a branch in Heliopolis, Cairo, and a new branch in the Smart Village. AASTM’s website is www.aast.edu.
The German University in Cairo (GUC)
This university is also considered one of Egypt’s best. Located in Cairo, the university offers majors in engineering, material science, pharmacy, biotechnology, management technology, applied sciences, arts, and media engineering and technology. GUC also has some masters programs and also the first Media MBA in Egypt. GUC’s website is www.guc.edu.eg.
Modern Sciences and Arts University (MSA)
MSA offers degrees in biotechnology, computer science, dentistry, and media, and is located in the Sixth of October City. MSA’s website: is msa.eun.eg/msauniversity.
Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST)
Also located in Sixth of Octobor City, Cairo, MUST offers graduate and postgraduate studies in both Arabic and English. Degrees in medicine, dental surgery, pharmacy, engineering, mass media, business, foreign languages and many other science majors are available. MUST’s website is www.must.edu.eg.
There also many other private universities offering a range of courses and degrees, including the October 6 University, Ahram Canadian University (ACU), Misr International University (MIU), British University in Egypt (BUE), and the French University in Egypt (FUE).
