Panasonic picks winners of ‘YallaRio’ campaign

PANASONIC Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) announced the winners of its one-and-a-half-month #YallaRio Olympic promotion campaign that ended last June 30. Marie Antonette Cubol and Rey John Paul - couple from the UAE, Hossam El Din Mahmoud Mohamed Aly from Oman, and Sami Hasen Mohmad Khader from Jordan are the lucky winners traveling to Rio, selected through the raffle draw and announced on PMMAF’s social media.

The winners will be travelling to Brazil to witness all the action live at Olympic Games happening in Rio De Janeiro, the home of Panasonic’s brand ambassador Neymar Jr, on Aug. 16-20.

Anthony Peter – Director of Corporate Communications and Operations Division at PMMAF congratulated the winners, and said “our hugely popular regional sales campaign under the banner #YallaRio generated the desired buzz of building awareness of the much awaited Olympics games. By sharing the passion of the games it provides our brand a great opportunity to connect with our valued customers.”

Panasonic Marketing Middle east and Africa (PMMAF) has also introduced a social media hashtag #YallaRio for fans in the region to share the passion for Olympic Games on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Globally, Panasonic with its ambassador Neymar Jr has launched the ‘DREAM "FITA" PROJECT’, which celebrates the dreams and passions of both athletes and spectators. The project encourages fans to create their charm bracelet from Brazil that holds their dreams and goals. Panasonic under its ‘Sharing the passion’ initiative has been supporting Olympics with its cutting edge technologies and remains one of the longtime partners of Olympic games since the first TOP (The Olympic Partner) program at the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games.

Panasonic is the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category and has been contributing to the Games with its cutting-edge AV technology for more than a quarter of a century. The company has become the Official Ceremony Partner at Rio Olympics for the first time. Panasonic will supply projectors, switchers, and other full line-up visual systems to bring the Ceremonies to a whole new level of entertainment with impressive images to the spectators at Brazil’s iconic Maracana Stadium.
Panasonic will install its LED video screens and video systems to the competition venues on the largest scale for any Olympic Games.
