Saudi fine artist Shalimar Sharbatly participates in Foreign Press Association Awards

LONDON - Saudi fine artist Shalimar Sharbatly participated in the Foreign Press Association Awards ceremony in London, which was held recently, honoring many international journalists at the ceremony which over 400 political and cultural figures and important press and media personnel, headed by Queen Rania of Jordan, who was awarded the “Humanitarian Activities Award”.

Sharbatly said she was very happy to be present at the international celebration, she also felt proud on the coronation platform; not as an awarded participant, but to hand over the awards. She added that the message of genuine press is very much similar with the message of genuine art as the two aim to rid the world of its iniquities and evil.

“My happiness in participating in awarding the world’s most important journalists increased when I knew that most winning stories were concerned about reducing the suffering of refugees and sympathetic towards the difficult humane conditions across the globe. And having queen Rania as one of the honorees made me even happier for the great reputation she has internationally in the humanitarian field,” she said.- Agencies
