JEDDAH — International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) and Pakistan International School Jeddah — Aziziyah (PISJ-A) entered the semifinals of the U-17 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organized by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) under its Youth Development Program with the support of WPCA.

Pakistan International School Jeddah — Aziziyah (PISJ-A) beat Bangladesh International School (BISJ) by 44 runs, International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) thrashed Bangladesh International School —English Section (BISJ-ES) by nine wickets, Al-Falah International School (DPS) got the better of Bangladesh International School (BISJ) by 20 runs, IISJ routed Al-Waha International School by 10 wickets, PISJ-A trounced New Al-Wurood International School by 122 runs and Pakistan International School — English Session (PISJ-ES) beat BISJ-ES by 42 runs.

In the first match, put into bat PISJ-A scored 156-7 against BISJ through Shahzad (69), Yusuf Khalid (22) and Husnain (23). Abdullah took two wickets. In response, BISJ managed 112. Arafat top scored with 44. Khazar took three wickets.

In the second match, BISJ-ES batted first against IISJ, and made 68 in which Saydur (15) was the main scorer. Sohail and Zeeshan claimed two wickets each. In reply, IISJ achieved the target in eight overs with Sohail remaining unbeaten on 53.

In the third match, DPS batted first against BISJ and put on 151-7. Taha (31), Immad (28), Imran (15), Riyyan (14) and Affan (11) were the main scorers. Muntasir took two wickets. In response, BISJ managed 131 through Babu (31), Arafat (28), Fahad (26) and Jihan (25). Reyan took two wickets.

In the fourth match, Al-Waha batted first against IISJ and recorded 94-9. Saif (25) and Moiz (13) were the main contributors. Zahid, Farhan, and Zeeshan took two wickets each. IISJ achieved the target without loss. Sohail remained not out on 84.

In the fifth match, PISJ-A amassed 176-3 against Al-Wurood. Khalid Yusuf (59), Husnain (45), Sohail (25) and Mohammad Shahzad (15) batted well. Anas, Sufiyan and Nawaz took one wicket each. In response, Al-Wurood was restricted to 54-9. Khazer took three wickets, while Abdullah, Haseeb, Hamza and Mohammad Shahzad took one each.

In the last match of the day, PISJ-ES batted first against BISJ-ES and tallied 156-7. Faizan (38), Shahyar (33), Hamza (20) and Hussain (12) were the main scorers. Ahmad and Imran took two wickets each. In response, the BISJ-ES was restricted to 114-7. Saad Ullah (24), Sufyian (20), Adel (14) and Maher (10) tried their best with the bat.
