The students have undergone systematic training programs in the school since the movement was initiated in the year 2010. The Scouts and Guides Movement in New Al Wurood and Al Khozama schools is very well supported by its in-house resources. Besides participating in physically and intellectually stimulating activities, the Jamboree provided the opportunity for the Scouts and Guides to expand their reach and brotherhood. The platform was used to drive the interest of Scouts and Guides to express their views on the change they want to bring about.

Abdul Gafoor Irumban, headmaster, New Al Wurood, and Bino Mathew, secretary, Bharat Scouts and Guides Association, KSA coordinated the programs inside and outside the Kingdom.

Vibrant activities in the camps focused on skill development and advancement activities like outdoor skills and wilderness survival. The camps encouraged students to try new things, feel good about themselves and experience adventurous activities that they would not normally be offered. Most importantly, they got to be decision-makers with leadership opportunities in every program.  They had a variety of instructional courses available to earn merit badges, other awards and certifications.

In January, the students attended a residential Rashtrapathi Puraskar test camp in Kerala Agricultural University Campus, conducted by Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi. They qualified for the award by performing exceptionally in the aptitude and written tests.
