KSA’s Alshammari is a ‘Young Global Changer’

ON May 29 and 30, the world’s leading think tanks will gather in Berlin, Germany. At the G20 Think Tank Summit, they will discuss global solutions to the most pressing issues facing our planet.

Hundreds of bright young minds from 100 different countries will join this process as “Young Global Changers”. Among them will be Yousef Alshammari from Saudia Arabia.

Dr. Yousef Alshammari is a research scholar in energy systems obtaining his PhD from Imperial College, London. He was a visiting fellow at OPEC, IAEA, and currentlay, he is a Principal Investigator at University of Vienna where his research addresses new low carbon transition scenarios at industrial sector. He is also a member of the Future Energy Leaders Board at World Energy Council.

The Think 20 Summit Global Solutions, mandated by the German G20 Presidency, will bring young visionaries from around the globe to Berlin. The scholarship program aims at people with a passion for change and a background in social volunteering, academia, technology, start-ups journalism or blogging.

By offering these scholarships, the summit wants to involve the views and ideas of the next generation into global problem-solving. Scholarship recipients will take part in a number of high-level side events and become part of an exclusive network of like-minded professionals.
