Dammam/JEDDAH/RIYADH — The students of International Indian School Dammam once again led all the CBSE-affiliated schools in the Kingdom in scoring a perfect 10 in the class X All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) examinations, results of which were announced Saturday.

This year 1,162 IISD students appeared, and out of them 216 scored A1 grade in all five subjects and 10 cumulative grade points (CGPA) while 549 scored above 9 CGPA.

Out of the total number of students 47.24 percent have scored 90 percent and above. Compared to last year, this year’s result is excellent as last year the number of students scoring A1 in all subjects were 139 while this year it has improved to 216. Dr. Syed Zainul Abidin, chairman of the Managing Committee, and the principal congratulated all the meritorious students and their proud parents on their wonderful achievement.

International Indian School in Jubail also did not lag behind in the success as the school reported 100 percent results. In all 408 students appeared, out of whom 80 scored perfect 10 (A1).

School Principal Syed Hameed and Vice Principal Naushad Ali congratulated the students and teachers for their hard work. Chairman Noushad P.K. and members of the school's Managing Committee, also congratulated the students for their remarkable achievement.

Though fewer in numbers, Muna International School produced an excellent results. In all 37 students, including 16 girls and 21 boys, appeared for the exam and all of them passed with five students scoring 10 CGPA in all subjects, while 23 students’ score ranged from CGPA 9 to 9.8.

Khozama International School reported 100 percent results. Out of 45 students who appeared in the examination 10 scored 10 CGPA in all subjects while 19 scored more than 9 CGPA.

Students of international schools in Jeddah too have made outstanding performance. Out of a total 815 students who appeared for the examination from International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ), 81 girls and 44 boys scored a CGPA of 10 full points. Syed Masood Ahmed, principal of IISJ, school managing committee and the staff congratulated the students on their excellence performance.

After the introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation System (CCE) by CBSE, the Grade X Examination has become less stressful, according to a press statement of IISJ, with 70 percent of the marks by way of Formative Assessments (FAs) and Summative Assessment (SA-1) are awarded by the respective schools.

For the remaining 30 percent of marks through SA-2, the students have a choice to opt either for a school-based evaluation or board-based evaluation. Thus the complete scores of students who opt for school-based evaluation for SA-2 are awarded by the school only. In contrast to the general trend of students, all 815 students of IISJ had opted for the board-based SA-2.

Al Mawarid International School: All 143 students who appeared for the exam passed. Seven students scored A1 in all subjects. Ten students scored 98 percent while 60 students obtained 95 percent and above while all others passed with distinction. School Chairman Abdul Raheem Faizy, Principal Abdul Samad K.A. and Manager K.T. Muhammad congratulated the teachers and students who brought laurels to the school.

New Al Wurood International School: Out of 85 students, 15 secured 10 CGPA, 30 grabbed 9 CGPA and all others passed with distinction. Sreedevi Menon, the principal, school management and the staff congratulated the students for their exceptional academic achievements.

Al-Noor International School: A total of 71 students, including 38 girls, who appeared for the exam passed. Of these 21 came out with full A1. Principal Professor M. Abdul Ali, the management and the staff congratulated the students for the outstanding performance.

The students of Al Falah International School-DPS, Jeddah, too excelled. In all, 105 students appeared for the examinations and 14 of them obtained 10 CGPA and 37 students secured 9 CGPA and above. School Chairman Zia Nadwi congratulated the students on their significant success and lauded their penchant for excellence. Academic Director Humaira Naseem applauded the students and the school management extolled the exceptional efforts of the teachers, students and parents.

A total of 710 students appeared for class X exam from International Indian School, Riyadh (IISR). Out of these, 97 secured CGPA with 10 full points. The number of students with distinction is 512 while those who secured CGPA more than 6.4 (first class) is 695. Eight students were eligible for improvement of performance. Principal Dr. Shaukat Parvez, school managing committee and the staff congratulated the students for their outstanding performance.
