JEDDAH — Sheikh Hussein Bakry Gazzaz, founder of Gazzaz Company, noted the changes that have taken place in the media sector since 1960s.

Sheikh Gazzaz, popularly known as the “king of perfumes”, recently met a delegation from the Okaz Organization for Press and Publication at his company's headquarters in downtown Jeddah.

Speaking on the occasion, he drew attention to the efforts he had made to introduce Gazzaz products in the Saudi market.

“Gazzaz is regarded as one of the first companies that is engaged in perfumes and fragrance business in the Kingdom. The credit for winning the largest number of agencies (for international brand perfumes) goes to Gazzaz," he said.

Sheikh Gazzaz proved an expert in selecting various fragrances with a nose for the best of the times. He procured top quality perfumes catering to the taste of his Saudi clients, in particular, and Arab customers, in general.

The company has introduced more than 12 brands, the most recent of which was Baby Gazzaz Perfums, an exclusive item for children.

Referring to the finest quality of perfumes manufactured in France, he said: “Majority of people embraced these brands for their finest fragrance and reasonable prices.”

The Okaz delegation included Saudi Gazette Editor-in-Chief Khaled Almaeena, Muhammad Al-Bukairy, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nadi daily, Maher Al-Maayouf, director of Jeddah branch of Okaz, and Muhammad Abdul Rauf, advertisement specialist at the Jeddah branch.

Hani Azzam, director of décor and advertisement at Gazzaz Company, received the delegation.

Azzam pointed out that Gazzaz showrooms match major international brand showrooms without compromising the Arab identity.

He commended Saudi Gazette, especially for its remarkable improvement in style and content over the last months and its positive impact on advertising. — SG
