JEDDAH — Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Siraj-ul-Haq said the whole nation’s eyes are on the powerful six-members Joint Investigation Team (JIT) after the verdict of supreme court on the Panama Papers case, which has entered a crucial and concluding stage.

Speaking to Saudi Gazette at the residence of Dr. Majeed Abid a senior member of Jamaat-e-Islami in Jeddah after performing Umrah, he said the JIT should play its role in eliminating Corruption even supreme court did not clear rulers from corruption.

He had spent the last 10 nights of holy month of Ramadan and Laylatul Qadr at Makkah. Sami-ul-Haq Shair Pao deputy director foreign affair Munsoura Lahore was also present.

He added that the way in which JIT has been forwarded and examined case and forced the rulers to appear in courts and provide clearances, shows that JIT will act against the corruption of the rulers. There are also insecurity and unemployment too due to wrong policies of the government.

This is our bad-luck that the government is involved in corruption. These corruptions are also damaging our institutions as well as affecting people, he added.

Haq said Pakistan is an important state of the Islamic world. Pakistan’s power is the power of Muslim Ummah. Therefore as much as Pakistan is strong, Muslim Ummah will be strong. He said Pakistan is not the name of collections of mountains or provinces or nationalities. Pakistan is the name of an ideology and philosophy. But unfortunately despite 70 years we cannot implement the Islamic system in the country.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami is trying hard for the enforcement of Islamic laws in Pakistan. He added that Muslims should unite to solve their issues.

Operations are not solution of every issue. The stability, peace, prosperity and progress in the country will come only in development of Islamic society as conveyed to us by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), he said.
