JEDDAH — A dentistry graduate in Jeddah has started her own food truck business.

Reham Fowzi Shabbanah, 24, said she had always been passionate about becoming an entrepreneur.

“I wanted to start my own business since I was in school. Starting the business helped me to escape the stresses of medical school and express my passion. I started the food truck business the moment I graduated in dentistry. It was hard to find the time to work and study but I had a lot of support from my family,” said Shabbanah.

She added the process of starting the business and getting the paperwork done was very easy.

“I set up my food truck at festivals and entertainment events. A lot of people gather for recreational purposes, especially during summer. I get to meet a lot of visitors and residents of Jeddah. I have a social media following unlike many other food truck owners. I use my social media account to update my followers of the place and time I will be at,” said Shabbanah.

She added that she had been receiving suggestions and support from her followers.

“Some people may find the food served by food trucks to be expensive but this is because of the quality of the food served,” said Shabbanah.
