Jeddah — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman was briefed here on Tuesday on Al-Faisaliah residential and administrative project in Makkah by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of Makkah.

In recognition of the late King Faisal’s care for Makkah, King Salman renamed the project Al-Faisaliah, which was earlier named as Salmaniyah.

“This city is part of the development between Makkah and Jeddah,” the King said.

The King expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Prince Khaled for the development of Makkah region.

The King said: “It is my honor as it was the honor of the ones before me to be the custodians of the two holy mosques. Whoever serves the two holy mosques, serves Islam and Muslims.

“Our country — praise to Allah — is the starting point of Islam and the starting point of Arabism. We were honored by Allah when He sent down His book to an Arab prophet.”
