Nadeem blasts 166; Al-Burj, Eirad excel

JEDDAH — Nadeem of Naseem Al-Zahra blasted an unbeaten 166, while Al-Burj and Eirad Travel stunned opponents with clinical wins in the 11th week matches of the Jotun Paints Saudi Cup sponsored by Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association. Elsewhere, Butt Sports, ARM United and Jamoom Tigers also recorded impressive wins.

Naseem Al-Zahra posted a mammoth total of 300 for 1 to win by 75 runs against Kashmir Stags with scintillating knocks from Nadeem who blasted 166 not out off 50 balls with 10 fours and 9 sixes and Qamar Javed who hit an unbeaten 76 with 8 fours and 3 sixes.

Al-Burj excelled with a 38 runs win over Pak Makkah with Rehan playing a polished knock of 86 runs (5 fours, 4 sixes). Eirad Travels surprised Hyderabad Green with a 59 runs win, thanks to Tariq’s superb 107 (49 ballss, 18 fours, 3 sixes). Junaid’s 50 and Zaman’s magical spell of 5 for 15 fashioned a 64-run win for Butt Sports over Al-Zafer which was bundled out for 84 in a low-scoring match.

Ali Malik (52 not out) led Jamoom Tigers to a 9-wicket win after bowlers Hafiz Ismail (3 for 28), Rasheed (2 for 29) and Umer (2 for 13) bundled out AEC for 141. Quraishi’s aggressive 94 (10 fours, 6 sixes) coupled with Atta’s consistent 36 and 2 for 31 enabled ARM United to continue its unbeaten run with a 46-run win over KAIA.

Naseem Al-Zahra beat Kashmir Stags by 75 runs. Naseem Al-Zahra 300 for 1 (Qamar Javed 76 not out, Nadeem 166 not out, Amer Wahla 25). Kashmir Stags 225 for 6 (Danish 54, Majid 73, Zubair 30; Rizwan 3 for 34, Adnan 2 for 45).

Al-Burj beat Pak Makkah by 38 runs. Al-Burj 204 for 5 (Waseem 37, Rehan 86; Waleed 2 for 42). Pak Makkah 166 for 9 (Saqlain 39, Burhan 28, Anwar 34; Salman 2 for 32, Sami 2 for 25).

Eirad Travels beat Hyderabad Green by 59 runs. Eirad Travel 193 for 3 (Tariq 107, Ethesham 37, Farman 23). Hyderabad Green 134 for 8 (Ishaq 24, Jameel 30; Mohsin Raza 2 for 19).

Butt Sports beat Al-Zafer by 64 runs. Butt Sports 148 (Karamat 43, Junaid Butt 50 not out; Fahad 2 for 49, Fauji 2 for 24). Al-Zafer 84 all out (Fauji 26; Zaman 5 for 15, Imran 3 for 24).

Jamoom Tigers beat AEC by 9 wickets. AEC 141 all out (Yaseen 40, Patel 21, Abdul Rahman 20; Hafiz Ismael 3 for 28, Rasheed 2 for 29, Umer 2 for 13). Jamoom Tigers 145-1 (Adnan Siddiq 56, Ali Malik 52 not out, Usman Butt 32 not out).

ARM beat KAIA by 46 runs. ARM 195 for 5 (Ahmad Qureshi 94, Sami Khan, Atta 36; Javed 2 for 36, Majid 2 for 34). KAIA 149 for 7 (Ameen 30, Javed 26, Majid 36; Moeed 2 for 24 Atta 2 for 31).
