BRUSSELS – Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir stressed the necessity for Qatar to stop its support for terrorism and financing terror activities.
He said that it is impossible to defeat terrorism unless all the countries are committed to combating it, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
In a joint press conference with Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders in Brussels following bilateral talks, Al-Jubeir said: “We want Qatar to stop its support for terrorists and financing and sheltering them. It should stop the hate discourses. The demands submitted to Qatar come within these principles that the countries of the world agree on.”
He added that we cannot fight terror if some support or incite it. We are determined to pursue those who finance terror and discuss the means that will guarantee boosting cooperation between the Kingdom and Belgium in order to look into countering terrorist ideology.
Al-Jubeir said the Kingdom values the relations between Saudi Arabia and Belgium.
