YORK smart technology cuts energy consumption

JEDDAH — Due to regional increase on energy usage at an average rate of 8% annually, companies started seeking solutions for reduction and saving on sources. Accordingly, one of the well-reputed automotive companies in KSA, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Co., agreed with Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) to install smart technology for energy conservation onto its showrooms Air conditioning and lighting utilities.

“Under our strategy, vision and goals towards sustainability and conserve energy, we explored several companies that could meet our requirements of offering smart technologies to save on electricity consumption. After thorough observations, we agreed to contract with Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) which could meet and even exceed our prerequisites, due to its high-quality products, services and aftermarket maintenance”, said Eng. Saeed Nakhal, Project Management Director at Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors Co.

“We have installed the smart control thermostats and were able to save on electricity across most of our showrooms in Jeddah and Riyadh, including: “BMW”, “Rolls Royce”, “Mini-Cooper”, “Range Rover”, and “Jaguar”. Our partners were able to provide us with the best in quality and latest technology through their smart thermostats which allow an accessible network anywhere anytime and proved to save up to 40% at each of the showrooms”, added Eng. Nakhal.
