FORTY children from limited income families recently had an opportunity to visit the Aid Jeddah festival free of charge. The visit was conducted by Rewa'a team of youth volunteers last Friday.

Rewa'a is a nonprofit team of volunteers who promotes humanitarian work throughout the community. The team aims at making disadvantaged children happy.

The team was established with only 25 volunteers a year ago on June 30, 2016, and now is functioning with 130 volunteers, with their number constantly increasing.

Moa’ayad Ghashgari, the founder of the Rewa'a team, stated: “Rewa'a team of volunteers was initiated a year back to support disadvantaged children and to bring a smile to their faces and make them happy as much as we can.”

We help children, especially those who do not encounter happiness like kids who are fighting cancer, children with special needs, and children from limited income families.

Ghashgari added: “Our goal is to make these children happy and satisfied.”

Mashail Aldrees, events coordinator of Rewa'a, said: “To reach our goal we always take the kids to various amusement and educational events, in order to entertain them and also provide them educational value.”

The festival welcomed and hosted the children for free to enjoy the various activities and entertainment facilities at the festival.

The kids enjoyed the amusement park and the theatrical show put on stage. They also received free ice creams from the ice store. They were provided amusement by the clowns near the ice store, making the evening a marvelous one for them.

At the end of the tour, Ghashgari thanked and honored their host Khalid Nagro, CEO of Renad company, and his team (the organizers of the festival).

Finally at the end of the day TOYS “R” US provided the kids with gifts as part of their corporate social responsibility program.
