People flock to Al-Faisal exhibition in Kazakhstan

PEOPLE in Kazakhstan have flocked to Al-Faisal Exhibition “Witness and Martyr”, being held currently at the Central Government Museum in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Organized by King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies and attended by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, the exhibition was held in Astana, the capital, earlier then it moved to Almaty at the request of the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Kazakhstan. Its activities will continue until Aug. 27.

In his opening speech, Prince Turki Al-Faisal spoke highly of the organization of the event and the mesmerizing beauty of Kazakhstan, thanking authorities for their efforts to organize the exhibition.

The exhibition focuses on the Kingdom’s history during the era of late King Faisal (1964-1975), which saw the beginning of reforms on all aspect of Saudi society. It also showcases King Faisal’s artifacts and personal belongings, highlighting various stages of his life and different aspects of his personality.

It focuses on his struggle to advance and develop his country, with emphasis on his political positions on local, regional and international issues. Documentaries were played showing the historical stages of his reign as a strong leader who protected his country during a time when the world was going through political and economic turbulences.

Visitors were introduced to the chronological order of events at the time and on King Faisal’s traits as a wise and clever leader who was highly respected by all Muslims, including the ones in Africa and Asia. It focuses also on King Faisal’s role in establishing a powerful country with an excellent reputation and on his personality as a kind, compassionate, pious and ethical person.
