TVTC to offer SR300,000 loan to graduate trainees

51% of Otqin training program are females

JEDDAH — The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has announced that graduates of industrial, architecture and establishment institutes are qualified to get SR300,000 loan to start their businesses.

Muhammad Aba Husain, head of the general department for trainees’ affairs, noted that these institute graduates are given SR800 each month during their training period. He also added that their certificates are classified by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development. They are also given priority at the international excellence institutes in the kingdom to advance their training, he said.

There are 63 industrial institutes available around the Kingdom and they accept Saudis and children of a Saudi mother. The institutes may also accept expatriates if seats are available.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Al-Fuhaid, governor of the TVTC, said the corporation continues to hold intensive training courses in 16 different technical and vocational sectors.

He said the Otqin training program has received accolades from all quarters. The program, he said, is help the country to cut down reliance on expatriat workforce.

These intensive courses, Al-Fuhaid said, will allow Saudis to easily find jobs and also help them start their small businesses. “The TVTC’s goal is to meet the Saudi Vision 2030 and to advance the skills of Saudi individuals so they can play a major role in the sustainable development, to ensure social responsibility and improve the technical and vocational awareness.”

The first and second phase of Otqin training program have been completed and they have served 33,000 individuals 51% of which are females. The training courses were organized during the evenings to allow more people to join them.
