Drug cell busted in Jeddah: MOI

JEDDAH – A cell that managed to smuggle a large quantity of the crude drug “shabu” (Methamphetamine) and traffic it in Jeddah was busted after storming their hideout.
The cell comprised a Pakistani and a Filipino. Both were arrested. They were apprehended with 4.31 kg of crude “shabu” in their possession, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior as stating Saturday.
The security authorities have been monitoring the attempts of criminal networks to take advantage of the Haj season to smuggle and traffic drugs in the Kingdom. These efforts led to apprehending the above-mentioned drug cell. – SPA
