Crown prince’s order allows fans free entry for Saudi–Japan match

JEDDAH — Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, has issued an directive to allow the Saudi soccer fans into the stadium for the Saudi Arabia-Japan Asia group World Cup qualifier match free of charge. The match, to be held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on Tuesday, is a key match for Kingdom with Japan already qualifying at the top of the group. The Crown Prince’s order comes as a tremendous boost to the national team in its march to qualify for the 2018 World Cup finals and in recognition of the role of the Saudi fans in supporting their national football team. President of the Board of the General Sport Authority Muhammad Al Asheikh, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation of the Crown Prince for his support to the Saudi team to qualify for the World Cup, to be held in Russia. — SPA
