Saudi Gazette report
LONDON — Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir emphasized on Tuesday that there is no siege on Qatar, stressing that the Kingdom cannot accept any country while its media is supporting terrorism and terrorist operations.

"All countries should not tolerate terrorism. We will not deal with a state that supports it and interferes in the affairs of other countries," he told a news conference at the Saudi embassy’s headquarters in London. Al-Jubeir said that “it is not harmful if the Qatar crisis continues for two more years,” stressing that “the people of Qatar are the ones who decides who governs.”
Meanwhile, he stated that “Iran is destabilizing the region through Hezbollah and terrorist attacks.” He also said that “the Iranian foreign minister's statements about reconciliation are ridiculous.”
The Saudi minister pointed out that “if Iran wants to improve its relationship with Saudi Arabia, it has to stop terrorism and interventions,” noting that “the leaders of al-Qaeda in Iran gave orders to carry out attacks in Saudi Arabia.” “We do not see any seriousness from Iran in dialogue and diplomatic cooperation,” Jubeir stressed.
Al-Jubeir said that diplomatic exchanges with Iran over arrangements for the Haj did not represent a normalization of relations and that such contacts had nothing to do with politics. "We had the Haj season, and when we have the Haj, we try not to politicize it... But this is not normalization," he said. "The meetings around the Haj, have nothing to do with the politics. It’s a religious issue,” he added.
With regards to Yemen, Jubeir said that the war “was not chosen but imposed on us,” pointing out that “Sanaa airport can be reopened if the United Nations took over.” Al-Jubeir met with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and head of the Saudi-British Parliamentary Committee as well as 15 members of the British parliament.
