RIYADH — For the first time in the Kingdom, King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh welcomed families for an event, which is free of charge, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has said.

It said both families and singles were welcome to attend the “National Epic” at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This is only one of the many unique events organized by GEA to celebrate the Kingdom's 87th National Day. Electronic registration was open for families, singles and individuals with special needs through the following link www.roznamah.sa/ar/events/national-epic/. Free tickets can be booked by entering personal information during the registration process.

Confirmation email and SMS including the QR code will be sent to the individuals to confirm that the registration has been completed.

More than 500 actors are performing a cultural operetta telling the national story of the Arabian Peninsula and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in three episodes, all using impressive high-end technologies.

The event can accommodate up to 40,000 people in singles and family sections. The seating arrangement at the stadium has been modified appropriately to facilitate families and visitors with special needs.

The stadium will open at 4:00 p.m. and refreshments and food trucks will be available.

The GEA has launched a National Day celebrations guide, which includes details of all GEA activities planned on the Saudi 87th National Day and is available at www.roznamah.sa.

Meanwhile, the GEA has turned Riyadh's famous Tahlia Street into an "Entertainment Avenue". The street will witness several events as part of the National Day celebrations on Saturday and Sunday. Parades, such as drum march, aerial sculptures, Chinese folklore, bike, camel and horse processions, as well as theatrical performances and circus shows are some of the highlights.

Buildings in the street will be illuminated with 3D lights. A popular bazaar and musical performances by a number of prominent artists will make the event an unforgettable experience
