LULU Saudi Hypermarkets held a variety of celebrations at all LuLu outlets in the Kingdom on Sept. 22-23 in the occasion of the Saudi National Day. LuLu presented a number of special offers for its guests to enjoy the festive atmosphere and all events.

At its Murabba outlet, the chief guests were artist Faris Mahdi Anaizi and Muhammad Shaman Anaizi from the media.

LuLu expressed best wishes to all Saudi citizens and also its gratitude to the rulers and people of this noble country for their kindness and help in making LuLu the largest hypermarket group in Saudi Arabia.

“This year our celebrations were the first of their kind and LuLu Hypermarkets was pleased to offer a diverse selection of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and other Saudi products at attractive prices. LuLu is the ultimate venue for a memorable shopping experience with friends and family,” said Bashar Naser Al-Bashar, head of administration at LuLu Hypermarkets.

Locals and expatriates alike have has the opportunity to enjoy the environment which showcased an eclectic combination of the Saudi cultural dance, “Ardha,” and the Egyptian dance, “Thanoora,” along with other cultural shows and music.

LuLu presented an 87-meter long cake at its outlet in Murabba, Riyadh.

Emphasizing Saudi culture, LuLu presented an Islamic Cultural Exhibition, which included a rare handwritten copy of the Holy Qur’an, the smallest copy of the Holy Qur’an ever printed which can only be read with a magnifying glass, and copies of the Holy Qur’an published in different languages and different periods.

LuLu showcased a rare collection of books, which deal with the culture, history, art and

culture of the Arab world, coins, currencies from different parts of the world, Arab qahwa cups and a show of Arabic calligraphy.

Alternative events held included a falcon show, funny games, a magic show, acrobatic dances, and a circus team. The Art & Talent program started at 8 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 23. A highlight of the festivities was the impressive use of high-end technology including 3D shows, LEDs and HD projections. — SG
