JEDDAH — The alumni association of Jamia Nizamia, “Bazme Tulba-E-Qadeem-Wa-Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia,” organized the 25th annual function to welcome pilgrims recently at a Darbar Hall Shadab restaurant here.

Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed, president the alumni presided over the function. The chief guests of the function were Moulana Hafiz Qari Mohammed Anwar Ahmed Qadri, vice dean of Tafseer Jamia Nizamia, Moulana Mohammed Rafiq Ahmed Anwari Kamil, imam and khatib Jama Musjid Qila Raichoor, Moulana Syed Sadiq Anwari Asharfi Kamil, Arabic teacher Jama Nizamia.

Maulana Hafiz Ismail Khan Aurangabadi Qadri, Moulana Khalil-ur-Rehman, Hafiz Mohammed Ilyas, founder Madrasa Anwarul Hasanat for girls Mahboob Nagar, Moulana Hafiz Moula Ali Qadri, imam and khatib Bairoon Abadi Masjid Gangawati, Moulana Syed Siraj Ahmed, founder and principal Roza Al-Banat Baider, Hafiz Mohammed Mahboob Alam Nizami Raichoor, Shams-ul-Haq, vice president Majid Dhondi, Syed Arif, Alliance International School Hyderabad, Mohammed Khaja Hussain, Mohammed Iqbal Mian, Abdul Samad and Sardar Hussain were guests of honor. Local pilgrims Moulvi Mohammed Mahboub Pasha,Qadri Chishtidul, Mohammed Haji Naqbandi and Mohammed Abdul Imran were also present on the occasion.

The program started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by guest Qari Maulana Hafiz Mohammed Mahboob Alam. Naat was presented by Hafiz Qari Mohammed Aijaz and Syed Ahmed Reza.

Hafiz Muhammad Nizamuddin Gouri Sufi Qadri, general secretary press and publication, conducted the program. Siraj Mohammed Khan Qadri, president Haj reception committee, delivered welcome address. Hafiz Mohd Abdul Salam Aziz Anwari Siddiqui, son of Mufti Abdul Hameed (R A), gave an introduction of the Jamia Nizamia.

Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed, Hazrat Syed Imad uddin Moazam Qadri, Moulana Mohammed Abdul Salam, Mohammed Muslah uddin Jawaid Sabri, vice president education committee, Moulana Mohammed Abdul Salam Aziz, Siadath Ali Khan Qadri, Mir Mohammed Ali, Mohammed Younus, Sheikh Junaid and others presented shawls and plaques to the pilgrims. Moulana Mohammed Abdul Salam, vice president of the association, showed off the plaques given to the pilgrims with the audience.

Moulana Syed Sadiq Anwari Kamil Jama Nizamia addressed the gathering and said pilgrims should pay visit to Prophet’s Mosque after performed Haj. He expressed the significance of the visit and praying in the mosque. The alumni president, Mohammed Naveed Afroz also addressed the gathering and thanked the participants.

The program concluded with supplication for world’s peace and prosperity especially for the Muslims of Burma by Maulana Abdul Salam.
