Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh — A team of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work (KSRelief) is visiting Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. The visit has been organized in cooperation with the Bangladeshi government and the International Organization for Migration.

In Cox’s Bazar, the team assessed the basic humanitarian needs of Rohingya refugees.

This step is in line with the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to provide emergency aid to Rohingya refugees in countries neighboring Myanmar.

Last Tuesday, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman ordered the allocation of $15 million to alleviate the suffering of Rohingya Muslims who fled persecution in Rakhine state of Myanmar.

This was announced by Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, adviser at the Royal Court and general supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Work, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.

He added that KSRelief has implemented the first phase of the repatriation of Rohingya from Rakhine state in a number of governorates in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration. — Agencies
