ABU DHABI — It is winter and you could have the opportunity to drift cars, ride camels, eat delicious food, and enjoy stunning beaches while creating your extraordinary memories and experience. The United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi, which is a city that mix between heritage and modernity, could be a suitable destination for family’s winter holiday. Saudi Gazette is providing it’s readers with some of the places that families can visit in Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island

Yas Island is one of the special locations where groups can do several activities in one day. The person can visit the Yas Marina Circuit and be part of Camaro driving experience, where you can drive the car and try to race with someone of your family members. Tourists can enjoy swimming in Yas beach or ride a bike to discover the island.

Families can spend their day also in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and enjoy the shows and play many games and feel as if they where in Italy. They can try the lunch at Ristorante Cavallino in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. After leaving Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, they can walk in Yas mall. This mall has a cinema and several international restaurants and cafes serving food.

Al Forsan International Sports Resort

The resort is a 10-minute drive from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Families can spend their whole day there and play several games including karting, paintball, and archery. They can also try horse rides and learn this sport.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

This mosque, which is the third largest in world, is one of the well-known signatures of the city. It has beautiful white marble and other materials that are used around the mosque. These pieces came from many countries, including Morocco and Pakistan. Inside, the mosque is filled with beautiful, simple geometric designs. Currently, the mosque visitors can enter a new exhibition that is named ‘Memories of a Journey Haj’ that started this month and will be opened for several months. The exhibition talks about Haj and has some of the pilgrims’ memories and gifts. It also showcases the history of Haj in the area.

Dining in Hotels

One of the special activities to do in Abu Dhabi is dining in hotels. If you where a meat lover, it is recommendable to visit the stake house in Four Seasons Hotel. Tourist can enjoy having their dinner also in Emirates Palace Hotel since the place has a delicious open buffet and a luxuries heritage interior design.

Corniche

Abu Dhabi’s corniche is the perfect place for watching the sunset and taking a short walk in the winter. After a walk, visitors can enjoy coffee at one of the corniche many cafes.
