October 01, 2017

JEDDAH — The Danube App and e-commerce platform was a key feature at the Applications World Forum last Friday hosted by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. The inaugural event was hosted under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Region, on Sept. 28-29 and provided a platform for the region’s e-commerce leaders to come together to discuss the current growth trends and future potential for applications in the Kingdom.

The forum showcased the best mobile apps from across the Kingdom and featured thought-provoking content around the app business. The Danube App, which was launched in June 2017, has rapidly emerged as a leader in the region’s app and e-commerce space, already established as the biggest e-commerce grocery shopping platform in the Middle East.

Speaking at the event, Majed M Al Tahan, Co-Founder and CEO of Danube Online & CEO & Founder of AYM, said: “We were delighted to participate in this prestigious event along a pool of esteemed innovators, entrepreneurs and guests. We would like to thank the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce for their relentless focus on championing innovation and technology. It is true that we are still in the early days of our growth journey but are already reaching success milestones, ranking as the no 1 e-commerce app in the Kingdom. Our success to date is testament to the fact that vision coupled with innovation and a strong determination to succeed makes all the difference in making an impact in the e-commerce space. The Danube App provides convenient, fast and safe online grocery shopping, as well as exclusive offers, through our genuine end-to end- e-commerce platform.”

The Danube App stand welcomed over 1000 visitors over two days who were interested to get more information on the app launch as well as benefit from the promotions and offers on display during the event. — SG
