Gulbargavis felicitate youth leader

JEDDAH — Indian expats from Gulbarga residing here felicitated their youth leader Nasir Husain Ustad during his visit to the Kingdom to perform Haj recently. A large number of Gulbargavis attended the event organized by Gulbarga Charitable and Welfare Trust at Village restaurant here.

Nasir Husain Ustad was the Chief Guest and Sadath Husain Ustad, prominent leader and senior advocate, attended as guest of honor while Syed Nasir Khursheed, president Gulbarga Charitable and Welfare Trust Jeddah Chapter, presided over the function.

Nasir Husain appreciated the social activities organized by the Trust to help the poor and needy people back home in Gulbarga. He also appreciated the excellent Haj services provided by the Saudi government.

The audience appreciate the social activities of his team and party Janta Dal Secular in Gulbarga and he appealed to the attendees to help in coming elections in Karnataka so that he can work more effectively for the basic amenities such as pure drinking water and other number of other issues which have been neglected for a long time.

He said, “BJP is polarizing the votes by dividing the communities which is not good sign as for centuries all communities have been living in solidarity in India, and the strong secular fabric cannot be destroyed by these politicians as maximum number of Hindus are peace loving and they don’t like this divisive policies.”

Sadath Hussain said, “The demand of the new era is to empower young leaders.” He shared his experiences in political life. Syed Nasir Khursheed too elaborated on the activities performed by the Trust and the projects in pipeline. Among other prominent speakers President of the Eastern Province, Meraj Ahmed, highlighted the importance of education, which is key to better society and strong tool to empower the community. He further said we are planning to focus on Union Public Service Commission preparation for needy students.

President of the Rabigh Chapter Aslam Sayeed said, “We avail the opportunity to be involved in social activities carried by Jeddah Chapter.”

Vice President of Jeddah chapter Saleem Khalifa appreciated the honest leadership of Nasir Hussain and he hoped Ustad can be potential leader in Gulbarga by value based politics.

Aims and objectives of the Trust were highlighted by Treasurer Abdul Wahid in which he mentioned that poor and needy people are helped for medical, education, self-employment and marriages of girls.

Memento as a token of appreciation was presented to the chief guest on his distinguished contribution and services for the Gulbarga community.

Program started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Taqi Sharfi. The welcome speech was delivered by Sports Coordinator Sirajuddin Madki, while vote of thanks was delivered by Event Coordinator Wajid Qureshi.
