JEDDAH — The alumni association of Jamia Nizamia, “Old Boys Association of Jamia Nizamia” bid farewell to senior social worker Mohd Maslahuddin Jaweed Siddiqui, association’s vice president of educational committee, recently here in a local restaurant.

The gathering was attended by prominent members of the expat community, besides Syed Imaduddin Moazzam Qadri, Maulana Mohd Abdul Salaam, president of Association, Siadat Ali Khan and Mohd Younus Ali.

Eminent personalities from the community acknowledged and applauded Jaweed Siddiqui’s participation and efforts to promote the association causes here and in India.

While addressing the gathering, the alumni president, Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed said, “Maslahuddin Jaweed Siddiqui was actively involved in various association affairs specially in the educational activities.”

Siadat Ali Khan and Maulana Mohd Abdul Salaam, vice president of association, also addressed the gathering and applauded Jaweed Siddiqui’s efforts in association. They hoped Siddiqui would continue his work from India too.

Syed Imaduddin said, “Siddiqui always helped people who were in need; he also helped to find suitable jobs for many people.”

Khalid Hussain Madni, vice president of Noor Educational Society Jeddah, said, “Siddiqui’s silent services has not only benefited this association but also worked for many other associations running in Jeddah.”

Qari Mohd Aijaz Sabri also addressed the gathering.

Jaweed Siddiqui thanked all for the program and acknowledgement of his services. Hafiz Muhammad Nizamuddin Ghouri compered the program and proposed vote of thanks.

Maulana Mohd Hyder Khan, Anas Baig, Syed Obaidullah Hashmi, Mir Shoeb Ali, Mohd Maseehuddin Kalim worked to arrange the function.

Earlier the program commenced by the recitation of Qirat by Maulana Hafiz Abdulsalam Aziz Anwari Siddiqui, while Hafiz Mohd Aijaz, Syed Ahmed Raza and Syed Abubakr Qadri presented the Naat .

The program concluded with supplication by Maulana Mohd Abdul Salaam.
