‘I will avenge your son’s death,’ Crown Prince tells father of slain soldier

Riyadh — Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, spoke in a phone call on Tuesday evening with Faisal Al-Sibei, the father of soldier Abdullah Al-Sibei who died in a terrorist attack on Saturday.

The attackers targeted the outer security check post of Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, leaving two soldiers dead and three others injured.

Speaking to the martyr’s father, the Crown Prince said: “We have learned about the incident. With God’s will, they fought and died for the sake of God.”

“May God bless you. They (the martyred soldiers) have strengthened our will.”

“I want you to know two things: I will avenge your son’s death. Secondly, I want you to consider me as one of your children,” the Crown Prince added.

The father responded, saying that he and his sons are loyal to the Kingdom, their religion and the King.

On Monday, Gen. Suhail Al-Motairi, head of the Royal Guards, and other senior officials visited the bereaved family members of the Royal Guards Hammad Al-Mutairi and Abdullah Al-Sibei.

He conveyed to them the condolences of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

Crown Prince donates SR6m to charitable societies in Madina

Crown Prince Muhammad has donated SR6 million from his own account to charitable societies in Madina region in addition to the support being provided to these societies by the project of Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.

Four charitable societies in Madina are taking care of 4,849 men and women including orphans, needy families, people with special needs, widows, divorcees and the elderly.

The charitable support from the Crown Prince within the project of Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz for supporting charitable societies in all regions of the Kingdom started in Riyadh region with an amount of SR23 million meeting the requirements of 11,680 beneficiaries through 14 charitable societies.

It started in Makkah region with an amount of SR15 million for 14,914 beneficiaries through 10 charitable societies, in the Eastern Province with an amount of SR16 million for more than 41,000 beneficiaries through 10 charitable societies, and in Qassim region last week with an amount of SR16 million benefiting 7,296 persons through 12 charitable societies. — Agencies
