Riyadh — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, sent separate cables of condolences to Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed condemning twin blasts in Mogadishu and offering condolences on the deaths.

“We are deeply saddened by the two terrorist bombings in the capital Mogadishu and the resulting deaths and injuries. We express our strong condemnation of these terrori st acts,” the King said in his cable.

The Crown Prince said, “I received with great pain the news of the bombings in Mogadishu and the resulting deaths and injuries.”

Earlier, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the twin blasts in the heart of Somali capital.

More than 300 people died after twin bomb explosions in Mogadishu as locals packed hospitals in search of friends and relatives caught up in Somalia’s deadliest attack in a decade.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed has declared three days of mourning and joined thousands of people who responded to a desperate plea by hospitals to donate blood. — With agencies
