PISES wins distinctions in O and A Levels

RIYADH — Students of PISES kept their traditions of achieving distinctions in the external examinations. Besides achieving a phenomenal result overall, some of the PISES students have also received international applause for attaining the highest marks in the country, region, and world respectively.

This year, in Cambridge IGCSE, one of the most brilliant students, Maida Aizaz, has topped worldwide in the subject of Mathematics.

Maida also got a distinction in Chemistry for being Top in Region. Marium Malik got distinction in “English as a Second Language” in the region while Bushra Masood got two distinctions i.e. in Biology and Physics in the region. In addition, Sheikh Shiza Shamas topped the region in Information Technology in AS.

A level Edxcel results were also equally marvelous. Three students, Zainab Asif in Accounting, Hiba Tariq and Ibrahim Taseer in Physics got top positions in the country. While Javeria Ahsan got the top position in the subject of Chemistry in the region.

On the whole, ten students of PISES were among the top achievers by Cambridge and Edexcel in their region, country and the whole world respectively.

The Principal of Pakistan International School, English Section, Riyadh, Muhammad Tanveer expressed his gratitude to Allah Almighty for this achievement and congratulated the staff, students and their parents for their collective efforts and contribution to bring the school to this standard. He added that it would have not been possible without a harmonized effort of these three stakeholders.

Prof. Dr. Sultan Ayub Mayo (chairman SMC), Rana Sarfraz Ahmad (vice chairman SMC) and the members of SMC congratulated students, teachers and parents at the marvelous achievement. They further said that it is a matter of honor and prestige not only for PISES but also for the whole Pakistani community living in KSA. On this occasion, they reaffirmed that the SMC would determinedly keep on working to provide better educational facilities to the community in Riyadh.
