AL AHSA — A primary school teacher in Al Ahsa stood in front of his students and said, “Whether you study or not, there are no jobs."

Teachers should spread the spirit of hope in children’s heart, and make them believe that they will have a bright future full of positiveness. The tone of the language used by the teacher sounded more like threatening in the video.

The video was posted on social media and many people were upset from the teacher’s behavior, which they consider inappropriate.

Primary school students should receive positive education for their souls, minds towards their motherlands, and tomorrow.

People on social media also said that a teacher's duty is to educate students, not to inform them if there are jobs available or not, because there are other people specialized in the respective fields.

People made a hashtag on social media called #teacher_threatening_students. Khaled Al-Juhani said, “ This is so frustrating, of course there are smart students, he should encourage them not break them, I wish he were suspended.” Alfajr Albaeed said, “ Who said that educating is only for getting a job.” Waleed Alhammad said, "It is killing the ambitions more than threatening, especially in this era. That teacher should know that with perseverance you can accomplish your goal even if it's too late.”

Many parents have demanded the Ministry of Education to suspend the teacher, and to punish him for what he has done.

Teachers must not say such things to students. The country cares about education and its teachers and students, and want them to obtain the highest care of physical and moral attention by providing all needs to accomplish the main goal of education, to serve the country now and in the future.

Mubark Alosaime, the spokesman for the Ministry of Education said, “I don't think that a teacher would say such a thing like spreading negativity. So we have to make sure the accuracy of this video.”
