ABDUL Latif Jameel Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia, has recently unveiled the new model of its latest midsize SUV, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018. The unveiling took place at a special ceremony at the Hussain Jameel Hall in Jeddah, attended by Toyota’s Marketing General Manager of the Middle East and North Africa Division, Mr. Nobuyuki Takemura, in addition to a number of senior employees from Abdul Latif Jameel Motors amidst a crowd of distinguished clients and media representative.

During the ceremony, Director of SUVs at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors Eng. Hany Ubaid expressed his excitements with the launch of the new model. “The Land Cruiser Prado 2018 is here to keep up with the future with more strength and sturdiness, alongside a number of futuristic and technological features that make it one of the leading midsize SUVs in the world. All the specifications that have always distinguished this model have been further developed and improved,” he said.

Ubaid continued: “Despite the fierce competition between today’s major car manufacturers and the high demand for SUVs, Toyota has made significant progress through its strategy of [committing to] development, improvement and consistent growth in manufacturing the best cars on the road. The 2018 Prado is here to express Toyota’s commitment to its fans around the world once again.”

With its renewed look, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 has undergone major changes to both its interior and exterior. Toyota engineers have enhanced the dashboard, steering wheel, and advanced audio and video system, which is equipped with an eight- and nine-inch screen for the maximum pleasure of the entire family while on the road. As for its exterior, the first change is featured in the headlights, which are completely redesigned and contain ventilation grids reconfigured as vertical lines that are wider than ever before. This is in addition to the front bumper, which is newly adorned with LED daytime running lamps

The new automobile also boasts new alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 18 inches in size. The updates to its exterior are finalized with two new coating colors: Metallic Bronze and Night Blue, which augment the eight previous color options.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 has a body known for its sturdiness and high resistance to different driving conditions, which perfectly aligns with the sleek, dynamic and attractive design that reflects the core evolution of the Prado towards a style that is more contemporary and modern.

And to ensure the highest levels of safety and security, the 2018 Prado features a number of systems and technologies that give drivers full control over their vehicle and the road, regardless of driving conditions. But Toyota did not stop here: it created the new Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) system, which includes a pre-collision safety system, lane departure warning, automatic high beams and smart cruise control.

On the technical level, the Prado 2018 features a range of smart systems and technologies that make it a leader in its category. However, the automobile now comes with the new panorama system that enhances the surrounding view and facilitates the process of queuing and driving on crowded, narrow roads. The driver can now identify all the elements of the surrounding road, such as other vehicles, pedestrians and more. The latter is done with a wider front view that will make driving safer and easier, especially when it comes to blind spots or sharp turns. — SG

“With all these premium features and characteristics, we at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors expect the 2018 Prado to ensure higher levels of satisfaction, in addition to greater demand from our guests around the Kingdom. We are confident that the 2018 model will be able to attract new guests seeking SUVs that exceed their expectations and offer them even more added value,” Ubaid said.

The renowned relationship between Toyota and Abdul Latif Jameel was established more than half a century ago, and has grown to become one of the leading automotive forces in the Kingdom. Abdul Latif Jameel is also one of the largest independent certified Toyota dealers in the world. Under its principle of putting the guest first, as well as its commitment to achieving excellence in all it has to offer, Abdul Latif Jameel supports the widespread use of Toyota vehicles in the Saudi market through an extensive network of sales and maintenance centers strategically located around the Kingdom to provide peace of mind for their guests, wherever they may be. — SG
