Saudi Consul General in Karachi dies of heart attack

KARACHI - Saudi Consul General in Karachi Mohammad Abdullah Abdul Daim passed away on Saturday morning after a heart attack.

He was rushed to a local hospital in the early hours of the day, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to Pakistan media reports.

Following the death of Consul General, the consulate of Saudi Arabia remained closed on Saturday to mourn his death.

"Sindh Governor Zubair Umar expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Abdul Daim and lauded his services for improving and promoting fraternal relations between the two countries. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace," a statement read. -- Al Arabiya English
