Ministry begins campaign for transport sector integration

RIYADH — The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has launched "Our Destination is Your Destination" awareness campaign to integrate all transport sectors — land, maritime, air and railway represented by the Public Transport Authority, the General Authority for Civil Aviation and the General Authority for Ports.

The campaign is in line with the requirements of the transport sector for transfer of international expertise and experience and to develop national carriers.

The campaign aims to achieve the Kingdom's goal of diversifying income sources through the development of the transport sector, which will impact economic activity in most other sectors.

Minister of Transport Dr. Nabil Bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi said: "We are working to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and we will continue to work with integrity to achieve our goals and implement our initiatives."

In a message to all transport sector entities, he added: "Our responsibility is to develop strategic plans to promote this sector and make Saudi Arabia an international logistics hub connecting three continents."

He pointed out: "Our mission is to discover more resources in this precious country and raise the level of safety on the roads in order to project our country perfectly."

The campaign targets at all stake holders in the transportation sector to enable interaction on the ministry's platforms in order to raise the efficiency of operation and performance, in addition to enhancing transparency.

The ministry will define the role and vision of the transport sector entities in its commitment to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
