HHC organizes women’s talents show

JEDDAH — Helping Hand Center (HHC) a well-known social and cultural platform of Pakistani women here organized a colorful “Women Talent Show” program in a local restaurant recently

Writer, social worker, film director and producer Mrs. Sameera Aziz was chief guest while Mrs. Razia Sikandar, senior member of the center, was guest of honor. Sikander has always supported the Center in welfare tasks and activities.

The program began with the recitation of Holy Qur’an by Mrs. Saira Hanif. Mrs. Bint ul Hasan and Mrs. Rukhshanda Puri jointly conducted the proceedings.

Ul Hasan said that the color of the universe is from existence of women. They are not less than men in any kind of awareness. But their skills have been hidden and the talents not shown.

She said self-confidence is an important essence of human morality. HHC has provided a platform to women where they can demonstrate their skills along with welfare and social tasks.

Puri said, “We try to bring innovation in our programs. There are two purpose in the organized show. First to arrange entertainment for HHC members and second to become a platform to showcase their skills and eye possible jobs.

Competitions for best make-up artist, best singer, best actress, best dress designer and best personnel on catwalk was held. Make-up artist from Toni&Guy Parlor Jeddah judged the best make-up artist.

Mrs. Farhat Naeem, vice principal Pakistan International School Azizia (PISJ), and Mrs. Fareha Mansour were the judges of other contests. They evaluated the performance of each contestant according to the criteria fairly and impartially.

According to the judges the best make-up artist was Mrs. Humra Khan. Best actress Babbly Khalid. Best singer Mrs. Fiza Durrani and best catwalker Mrs. Farah Shamshad.

Shields and certificates distributed to successful participants. Large number of women participated in the program and appreciated the efforts of the HHC.
