Saudi retail sector underpins growth of national economy

JEDDAH — The retail industry in the Kingdom is considered one of the most important industries where it is estimated by several billions of riyals as it is attracting a large number of investors, tenants or visitors. This creates a highly competitive environment among shopping centers which are developing special strategies targeting new tenants and visitors. The Red Sea Mall’s activities and events organized throughout the year were crowned with success, especially that the mall earned five prestigious awards for the best corporate social responsibility initiative on "Productive Families" and “Iftar Abnaa Al Khair”, the best shopping center of the year for 2017, the best overall campaign for giving on “Iftar Abnaa Al Khair”, the Best marketing Campaign of the Year on “Wonders of the Sea”, by CMO ASIA (the global consultancy for marketing research and measurement of corporate performance in Asia, established by the Board of Marketing Directors of the United States).

Five of the mall's activities have been also shortlisted as part of the initiatives and event of the "RECon" Awards among the list of nominated candidates for the finals. This event was organized by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Middle East Shopping Centers Council (MECSC) in Dubai.

The mall's management strives to achieve success constantly and provide the best visitors’ experience. It also provides entertainment services and encourage beneficial activities for the local community. “We are delighted to win the CMO Asia Awards and we look forward satisfying our customers and partners as well as visitors and the local community.
