UNESCO has recognized the historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Father of the Nation of Bangladesh) as part of the world’s documentary heritage. Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova disclosed this at its headquarters in Paris recently. The speech was included in the Memory of the World International Register, a list of the world’s important documentary heritage maintained by UNESCO.
