4th Riyadh coffee expo ends with a bang amid rising market demand

THE fourth edition of the four-day International Coffee and Chocolate Exhibition, which is considered as the biggest in Saudi Arabia and MENA region has been concluded at Riyadh International Conventions and Exhibition Center.

A large number of participants which exceed 250 from 30 countries, exhibitors, investors, importers, lecturers, trainee, etc. has been come to the exhibition to participate in the unique activities, to showcase their brands and services, to find new investment opportunities, to participate in the competitions such as Latte Art Competition and to join the workshops which are given by experts in coffee and chocolate industry.

Also, the exhibition contains B2B section for the businessmen, investors, importers and representatives of the international companies who aim to raise its investment in the Saudi market.

The exhibition aims to enrich the Saudi market and to achieve self-sufficiency of coffee and chocolate products through attracting new experiences from all over the world such as USA, Italy, Brazil, India, Indonesia, etc. and to help the Saudi youth to find the latest updates in the fields of coffee and chocolate and its equipment, techniques, devices, etc.

The total sales of coffee and chocolate in KSA exceeded SR700 million in 2016 with 12% increase comparing with the last year and the number of factories working in this field reached 30 factories producing 28,000 tons yearly, but the Saudi market consumes 45,000 tons yearly. The exhibition aims to bridge this gap consistent with the Saudi Vision 2030. — SG
