Riyadh – Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continuous support for the Al-Quds cause.
He said the stand of the Kingdom’s leadership on the issue of Al-Quds has been constant since the era of the late King Abdul Aziz.
"We will strive and exert our utmost efforts to make sure that the Palestinian brethren obtain their full and historic rights," Awwad said.
Awwad stressed that history bears witness to the support the Kingdom has provided to Palestine and the Palestinian people.
The Kingdom supported the Palestinian cause and always stands by the Palestinian people while the others are taking advantage of the Al-Quds cause to serve their ulterior motives. Their real face has been exposed.
The Kingdom is working quietly in supporting the Al-Quds cause.

Al-Quds is in the hearts of King Salman, the Crown Prince and the Saudi people, Awwad said.

It is a well-consolidated cause in the Kingdom’s policy and there can be no just and comprehensive peace in the region except by establishing the Palestinian state with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital, he added.

The Saudi leadership and the people have left no stone unturned to help their Palestinian brethren without bragging or showing off.

Awwad criticized those who are “trading” in the Palestinian cause. He stressed that the Palestinian cause is the Arabs’ first cause.

He added: I tell Iran and the others, enough “trading” in the Palestinian cause, which is close to the heart of every Arab. No one can be more concerned about this cause than us.

Awwad called on Arab media to carry out their role in highlighting the rights of the Palestinian people. He stressed that this cause should not be left to those who are taking advantage of it. It is the Arabs who deserve more than others to champion the Palestinian cause. They are the ones who are more capable to express it politically and in the media, whether within the Arab world or outside.
