DUBAI — The United Arab Emirates has launched “This is Zayed”, the world’s largest book which sheds life on the founder of the country late Sheikh Zayed.

The announcement was made by Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Oulaqi, the book author, during a press conference held at Arab Tower and attended by an elite of statesmen, intellectuals and media representatives.

This accomplishment is a gift to United Arab Emirates and its government, especially Sheikh Khalifah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE President, Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President, Cabinet Premier and Dubai ruler, as well as Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Al-Oulaqi said.

“The book reflects our loyalty to UAE to its founder and unifier, the great leader Sheikh Zayed. We ensured that the book shed light on Sheikh Zayed’s genius and biography and provide accurate information on him. The book recognizes the great achievements of late Sheikh Zayed inside UAE and outside. We have a considerable experience in implementing gigantic projects such as this book as we implemented before a similar project under the name of “This is Muhammad” which shed light on Prophet’s life,” he noted.

The book took months in the making. The team who participated in the project ensured that the book contains accurate information about Sheikh Zayed and works to entrench the values of citizenship and Emirati identity inside and outside the UAE. It enhances the values of peace, tolerance and co-existence.

Surprisingly, Al-Oulaqi wrote the book using the same pen Sheikh Zayed used when he signed the Unification Agreement. The pen was designed in 1966 by GAM.

“The pen inspired me and made work harder on the book. I’ll always be indebted and grateful as well as loyal to Sheikh Zayed and the UAE,” he said.

The technical specifications of the book will be revealed in the official launch event that will take place in Abu Dhabi soon.
