JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s fourth consecutive championship ended with Faisal Al-Muhsin Al-Mari emerging champion as a large number of fans and enthusiasts enjoyed the show. Bader Alshurahi finished second and Turki Al-Zair third.

The championship was held under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF) and was organized by Saudi Arabia’s motor sports champion, captain Abdullah Bakhshab, under the patronage of Nissan Saudi Arabia, Total Saudi Arabia and Alif Alif radio.

The tournament began with four rehabilitation rounds in the various regions of the Kingdom, starting from Al-Khobar, then Riyadh City, passing through Al-Ahsa and from there to Jeddah where the fourth qualifying and the final rounds were held.

In the fourth qualifying round in Jeddah, a number of distinguished champions were present to show their talent. The winners of the first place in this round were: Sultan Abunab first, Nader Idris second and Zakaria Al-Salwan third.

The participants in the final round used two cars of the same class and the power of the engine, the Nissan Z370 — the official car of the championship, which was provided by Nissan to ensure absolute neutrality among the drivers.

Prince Khalid Bin Sultan, captain Abdullah Bakhshab and Abdullah Sobh, the representative of the Nissan Company, congratulated the heroes and took commemorative pictures amidst the joy of the public and the organizers.

Bakhshab expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Federation of Automobiles and motorcycles, as well as Nissan Saudi Arabia, Total Saudi Arabia and Alif Alif Radio for sponsoring this tournament.

“The great support and direct supervision of the prince has played a major role in making this tournament a success, and we do not forget the support of the main sponsor Nissan and the rest of the sponsors in achieving this achievement,” said Bakhshab. “An appreciative crowd of 7000 confirmed the prestige of motor sport in the Kingdom, and I am very proud to congratulate the winners of the championship in its fourth year, and I wish good luck to everyone who ignited the spirit of enthusiasm here.

“We look forward to the Vision 2030 of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has put the promotion of various sports among its priorities.”
