In a telephone conversation with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Sunday, Macron expressed France's support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threat to its security.

President Macron stressed the necessity to confront Iran's activities that aim to destabilize the region.

He stressed his country's clear stance on the destructive role of Iran in supporting Houthi militias and providing them with ballistic missile technology to attack the Kingdom and undermine the stability of the region.

The French President thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Kingdom's Government for their efforts in countering terrorism and extremism as well as their efforts in drying up the sources of terrorism.

He highlighted in this context the Kingdom's recent support for the efforts to counter terrorism in Sahel.
