December 30, 2017

The Zamzam well restoration work will be completed before the beginning of Ramadan this year, the Makkah Emirate said on its Twitter account. A total of 36% work has been completed. The restoration work is being carried out in two phases. The first includes the construction of five-service bridges to the Zamzam well from the eastern side. The second phase includes the sterilization and cleaning of the area around the well of the remains of concrete and iron vaults of the old Grand Mosque. It also includes the development of a special quality of sterile gravel with a high permeability allowing better flow of Zamzam water.— Okaz photo
