PISJ-A holds Qirat and Naat competition

— The Pakistan International School Jeddah-Aziziyah (PISJ-A) held a well-organized Qirat and Naat competition at the school auditorium recently. Dr. Mohammed Akram, principal of the school presided over the gathering.

Mohammed Khalil Imran and Abdul Aleem Aamir, section heads, played key role in the preparation of this event that proved delightful and successful. Hafiz Obiad ul Rehman conducted the program very well.

The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Hafiz Saeed ul Haque of class 10 followed by Naat by Ahmed Bin Zubair and Sheikh Ijlal.

The first competition was Qirat and Ibad Qazi took first position. Ahmad Nawaz and Ibrahim Aslam of Class 8 shared second position and Umair Abid of class 10 secured 3rd position.

The second session was for Naat. In this competition students recited different famous naats beautifully. Ahmed Zubair, class 12, Mohammed Sharjil, class 7 and Ali Reza, class 10, came first, second and third respectively.

The judges for these contest were Hafiz Saeed Ullah, Qari Shabbir Ahmed and Hafiz Mohammed Shoib. On this occasion Hafiz Mohammed Shoib presented a naat in his glorious voice.

Aamir said in his speech, “We can only get successes in world and in the Hereafter if we follow the teaching of Qur’an and Sunnah.”

Dr. Mohammed appreciated the educational services in his presidential address and praised the staff and the organizers for their efforts in the preparation and successful holding of the event.

The national anthem of Pakistan rung down the curtain on the event.
