Over 6 million students return to schools for 2nd semester today

Jeddah — More than six million students and half a million teachers will begin on Sunday the second semester of the current academic year.

The education administrations in various regions have started a social media campaign to stress the importance of discipline and punctuality.

Awareness messages have been sent to students and guardians stressing the importance of beginning the new semester with seriousness.

It drew attention to the fact that discipline is a joint responsibility of parents and teachers.

During the second semester, classes will continue without any mid-semester holidays for 108 days.

The second semester exams will begin on May 6, 2018. Those who fail the exams will be allowed to appear for a retest on May 20, 2018.
