Youth has important role in nation building process: Latif

RIYADH — Pak Youth Forum (PYF), a newly established socio-welfare organization representing Pakistani youths, conducted their inaugural session at the knowledge core in Riyadh.

Pakistan’s Community Welfare Attaché Mahmood Latif was the chief guest on the occasion. Youth and elders of the Pakistani community attended. PYF’s advisory board member Omair Sheikh ably conducted the proceedings that began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Qur’an.

President PYF Gulzeb Kiani welcomed the guests and shed light on the purpose of establishing the PYF. “PYF has been established to provide a platform to the Pakistani youth to express their ideas and opinions. PYF will also provide career counseling and personal development plans and will focus on the cultural awareness among the youths. PYF will be a source for developing an enlightened, empowered and encouraged Pakistani youth towards a better, bright and healthy future”, Kayani said.

Avais Rahman, the young and talented media secretary of PYF, briefed the audience about the vision and the mission of the group. “PYF will facilitate to develop a unified voice of youth and take collective measures towards the social, economic, and environmental progress. PYF will assist the youth to understand their importance, responsibilities and also make sure on utilizing and channeling of their efforts in the right direction and for the betterment of themselves and Pakistan,” he said.

Culture specialist Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Bhatti advised the youth to remain connected to their cultural values. “Expatriate’s life is full of experiences and interactions with new cultures that most of the times take them away from their own cultural identity. We need to continue with our cultural values while settling in the new environment,” Bhatti said.

Fitness experts Mohib and Zeeshan took the audience through an energetic session with their Fitness Totkay and asserted that the audience needs to adopt exercise, focus on nutrition and practice wellness in their daily lives. They also distributed extreme nutrition supplements among the participants of Q&A and competition sessions.

Vice President of PYF Bilal Arshad conducted a quiz show based on the general information sponsored by FRiENDi and distributed valuable gifts among the winners.

Motivational expert Tasadduq Gilani encouraged the youth to adopt positive habits to enhance their lifestyles while talking about career development. “It is extremely important to develop our professional career according to our skills, knowledge and abilities with the stress on our interest and needs, while setting up a good road map that leads to a perfect destination,” Gilani said.

Chief Guest Latif expressed his great admiration for the Pak Youth Forum and said, “Youth has an important role in the nation building process, and Pakistani youth are full of talents and skills. It is the need of the hour to enhance their capabilities and utilize them in a proper and meaningful way, I am so happy on the formation of Pak Youth Forum and congratulate all the members,” Latif said.

PYF Advisor, Waqar Naseem Wamiq thanked all the distinguished guests in his vote of thanks and said, “It is an historic moment as Pakistani youth have gathered on one platform, in a well-focused, constructive and combined effort to strengthen the PYF vision and mission, We are looking forward to organize comprehensive seminars and workshops for the youths,” he said.
