Throw it over anything and it will instantly make your outfit better.

From the front-row fashion moguls to the best-dressed men spotted during Milan, Pitti, Paris and London fashion weeks, most were seen sporting this trend. All the big names in fashion embraced, explored and endorsed the pervasive trend on the runway. The dominating influence molds the athletic trends this year. The rules are simple. Keep the base neutral or use solid color contrasts to add a sense of uniformity to the look and let the coat do the talking. David Beckham sported the look in a top-to-toe navy ensemble and bright white trainers at the Kent & Curwen presentation during London Fashion Week. The classic and prevalent camel color, which is also synonymous with Burberry’s classic trenchcoat, is a must-have this season. It can easily be a showstopper if you throw it over streetwear pieces and casual wear. Atif Aslam arrived in Multan looking his usual dapper self in a 1970s-inspired knee-length camel coat over a casual black tee and jeans with fresh white trainers. Bold colors and brand labels are emerging as key trends. Whether it was Miguel in a black Maison Margiela coat on the streets of Paris, or Pharell in a teddy fur beige Celine coat with Balenciaga Triple S sneakers in Beverly Hills, this trend is here to stay. Don’t miss out.
