IISJ starts admission process, sets February 16 as deadline to apply

JEDDAH – The International Indian School, Jeddah, started admission procedures for the next academic year on Thursday.
Only online applications submitted through the school website (www.iisjed.org) up to Friday, Feb. 16, will be entertained. Admissions to LKG (morning and afternoon shifts) will be done through a lots draw, according to a circular issued by the school.
Waiting lists for admissions to classes UKG to 5th standard will also be prepared by drawing lots. For classes 6 to 9, all eligible applicants who submit online requests and get the reference number will be called for an admission test and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the test results. Admission will be done in the order of merit, subject to the availability of seats. All online admission requests will be allotted a reference number and draws for LKG to class 5 will be based on this number only.
The drawing of lots for the available number of seats in LKG and for preparing a waiting list will be held on Feb. 23 from 4.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. Draws for classes UKG to 5 will be held at 10.30 a.m. on Feb. 24. The draws will take place at the Boys’ Section auditorium in Al-Rehab district.
Parents of children whose reference numbers are picked in the draw for LKG admission can collect the prospectus immediately or by March 4. They will have to come for an interaction with the teacher in charge on a given date. The minimum age for LKG admission is three years as of April 1, 2018.
The circular said 40 percent of the available seats in all classes will be reserved for candidates having siblings in the school. The submission of multiple registrations will be rendered invalid. The validity of the drawn waiting list is until May 31. Parents or guardians of all candidates who submit requests may be present for the draws.
Photocopies of the passport and iqama of the applicant along with the online registration slip shall be submitted on Feb. 23, the day set for the LKG draw. Admission requests for LKG to class 3 for the residents of Makkah will not be entertained. More details about the admission can be obtained from the school website.
