MADINAH — Madinah Cricket League (MCL) Tournament for SCC T20 Cup continues with exciting matches here.
In first match, Pak United started well after winning the toss as it posted a healthy total of 232. Asif scored 60 runs off 22 deliveries alongside Kashif (34). Atif grabbed 3 wickets and Khursheed took 2. In reply, Binladen batsmen were bundled for only 83 runs. Atif made 18. Mohammad Asif excelled with the ball also by taking 3 wickets and showed his all-round brilliance. Bilal and Abbas claimed 2 wickets each.
In the second match, Pak Punjab won the toss and elected to bat. Rashid made 35, Arshad 29 and Jawad 27. Pak Punjab tallied 206. Rafaqat took 4 wickets, while Mehraj and Tauseef claimed 2 each. While chasing, MCH could only manage 176 in 20 overs. Musawir hit 39, Younis 34 and Sheeraz 28. Faisal and Sadiq took 2 wickets each.
The third match was between Al-Hateem and Kashmir XI. Opting to bat, Kashmir XI lost wickets from the start and could only manage 126. Hussain made 44 and Mansoor 17. Hammad took 4 wickets, while Arslan Mushtaq and Shahid grabbed 2 each. Al-Hateem chased the target easily for the loss of 7 wickets in 17 overs. Arslan Mushtaq made a sensible 47 and Hammad Saeed 24. Shoaib took 3 wickets.
In the fourth match, ASDAF XI lost to Sahiwal XI. ASDAF XI, batting first, made a reasonable total of 205 through Naeem Wajhi (78) and Sarfraz (51). Zeeshan grabbed 4 wickets. In reply, Sahiwal XI’s Tariq played an outstanding innings of 102. Zaher chipped in with 28. Sajjad grabbed 2 wickets. Sahiwal XI chased the target in the 18th over by only losing 4 wickets.
The fifth match was between SA Kamboh XI and U-19. The U-19 boys posted a decent total of 176. Abdullah made 52 and Taha 60. Saad grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, Farid hit an unbeaten 100 from 50 balls and Saad made 31. Abdullah grabbed 1 wicket. SA Kamboh XI achieved the target in 15 overs.
The last match of the week was between Madinah strikers and PRCC. Mdinah strikers posted 190. Ishtiyaq made 90 and Irfan 40. Yasir and Hasnat took 1 wicket each. PRCC achieved the target in 18 overs. Yasir scored 56 and Ajmal 54. Jaylath and Syed Wasim took 1 wicket each. — SG
